If you are a regular reader of these posts, you know that I did a nod to my mother on Mother’s day, so you know it is only fair to do the same for my father.  It gave me time to reflect on what my father taught me and how his teachings live out in my daily life.  I will preface this with saying that my other four siblings will all tell you that I am the one most like dad – whether that is a good thing or not depends on who and when you ask them.

The days and nights of my middle-aged life are booked and very busy.  This means that writing a few words for our blog every other week is relegated to my free time.  If you follow us regularly you may have noticed a gap in my writing which is because recently my free time has been consumed by my passion for playoff hockey.  Being a Chicago Blackhawks fan I have been very fortunate in recent years to enjoy lots of hockey but sadly that ended recently and now I have free time again.  All to say, I am back.
